The SUMEYA Ukrainian-Swedish Research Center was awarded an II-level diploma according to Rector’s Order No. 0422-I of May 7, 2024, based on the results of the competition “The Best Scientific Unit based on the Results of Scientific Activity in 2023”.

Our structural unit has only 4 years of history, but it already has a university-wide distinction – the best scientific unit according to the indicator “Financial evaluation of scientific activity.” By the way, the awarding of the diploma for achievements took place exactly on the anniversary of the creation of the International Scientific Center in a solemn atmosphere of the Academic Council of Sumy State University meeting.

The Ukrainian-Swedish research center “Sumeio” (that’s how the center’s name is actually read) is located in the 35-kilometer border zone with the military aggressor, the Russian Federation. Therefore, today, in the days of full-scale military aggression, we are trying to continue and maintain a high-quality level of scientific research and make investments for the future.
