On June 26, 2025, during a meeting of the Academic Council of Sumy State University, Professor Roman Moskalenko, Head of the Ukrainian-Swedish Research Center SUMEYA, was awarded an Honorary Diploma from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. This prestigious recognition was presented to Professor Moskalenko for his significant contributions to the development of education and science in Ukraine, acknowledged for his “initiative and perseverance, high professionalism, diligent performance of duties, and weighty contribution to the development of education and science in Ukraine.”

The nomination for this award was initiated by Sumy State University, highlighting Professor Roman Moskalenko’s successful four-year tenure of public service as a member of the Scientific Council of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine (2021-2025).
