Ukrainian-Latvian bilateral project “Modern copper-containing dressing materials with improved regenerative and antibacterial properties”: work in full swing

Bilateral Ukrainian-Latvian project “Modern copper-containing dressing materials with improved regenerative and antibacterial properties” with state registration number 0123U103301 (Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, contract No. M/62-2023) under the scientific supervision of professor Roman Moskalenko (from the Ukrainian-Swedish research center SUMEYA , Sumy State University) and professor Maksym Pogorelov (Senior Researcher, Institute of Atomic Physics and Spectroscopy, University of Latvia) has been successfully implemented for the second year. The main results of the scientific study were recently published in the journal Polymers (https://doi.org/10.3390/polym16192733). During the implementation of the project, the scientific groups of both countries developed an experimental dressing material with copper nanoparticles, which was experimentally tested on an animal model.

The obtained experimental data formed the basis for the aforementioned scientific publication. In addition, the scientific group of Sumy State University submitted an application for patenting the obtained results of the project.
