class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The idea of the Ukrainian-Swedish Center belongs to Prof. Thomas Bor\u00e9n (Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics, Ume\u00e5 University) and Dr.\u00a0Roman Moskalenko (Associate Professor, Department of Pathology, SumDU, Deputy Director of International Cooperation).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ec2c5db elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ec2c5db\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Their productive collaboration began in 2015 during the preparation of the article &#8220;Adaptation of Helicobacter pylori to Chronic Infection and Gastric Disease by pH-Responsive BabA Mediated Adherence&#8221;, published in the <em>Cell Host &amp; Microbe<\/em> in 2017. This idea was realized after a successful grant application by prof. T. Bor\u00e9n and R. Moskalenko (as a co-applicant) for the grant &#8220;Sweet Interactions&#8221; in Translational Medicine as Applied to Passive Immunotherapy against Gastric Cancer from the <a href=\"https:\/\/familjenerlingperssonsstiftelse.se\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Erling-Persson Family Foundation<\/a>, which\u00a0finance research in medicine with\u00a0ambitions for\u00a0entrepreneurship and\u00a0translational\u00a0potential. The successful implementation of this large-scale project required closer cooperation and coordination of experimental part. This has accelerated the planning, preparation and organization of the SUMEYA Research Center.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element This will contribute to the transformation of the Medical Institute into a research and educational unit of a university.
